Bob Bullock Field Trip Schedule
Wednesday, November 9th
We look forward to our upcoming field trip, please make sure you have all 3 field trip forms handed in to your teacher. Here are the electronic copies if you still need them:
1. Permission Form 1, in Spanish:Form One

If you have chosen to be a chaperone please make sure you have signed up through the OTE website: Volunteer Application.

Here is the schedule for our field trip to the Bob Bullock museum:
9:00- 9:15 Buses Leave
10:00 to 10:45 Exhibits
11:00-11:17 Spirit Theater- “Star of Destiny”  Be in line by 10:55.
11:20-11:50 Lunch- We will all eat outside on the picnic tables.
12:00-12:45 IMAX- Deep Sea 3D-   Be in line by 11:50.
12:45- 1:20 More exhibit time/ class group pics out front·        
1:20-1:30 Load the buses. We leave at 1:30.

Veteran's Day

Keep an eye out for Veteran's Day forms, we will be honoring our veterans with a ceremony  on Friday, November 11th at 8.00am on the blacktop.

Fall Field Trip

Information should be coming home in the next few days about our first 4th grade field trip this fall. We are so excited to be going to the Bob Bullock Museum in just a short few weeks.
Put November 9th on your calendar!!

Red Ribbon Week

October 24 - 28, 2016 - Red Ribbon Week Theme: United, We Take A Stand!

The week of October 24-28 is Red Ribbon Week!  This is a week dedicated to celebrating a healthy lifestyle free from substances that can be harmful.  There will
be a theme each day and activities throughout the week on making healthy choices.
A red bracelet will be given out to wear all week. 

Students and staff are encouraged to participate in the theme each day:  
 (Remind students not to wear clothing that obstructs learning – including P.E.)

Monday – “Band Together to Stay Healthy” – Wear your red ribbon wristband. 

Tuesday – “Put Your Best Foot Forward” – Put on mixed up shoes or socks.

Wednesday – “Old Town Texans Show Pride” in Making Positive Choices – Wear
                       Red, White, and Blue.

Thursday – “Hats On to being Healthy” – Find your wild & wacky hat to wear all day.

Friday – “Be on the Winning Team with Healthy Choices” – Wear your favorite
                sports team shirt.

 Write an Essay on “Taking a stand takes courage
  • 3rd– 5th: write a short essay about a time when they decided to take a stand. 

There will be a red box in the library where students can turn in their essay.  Students who turn in their essay by Friday Oct. 28th will receive a small “thank you” prize.

Bikers


Please remind students that at dismissal to WALK their bikes to the crosswalk at chaparral and woods Blvd, with the installation of the new fence there is too much traffic on one sidewalk for bikers to ride. It's for the safety on both the walkers and the bikers :)
